You’re bored, we’re bored, EVERYONE is bored = that is a fact. Now more than ever, we are staying in our homes, staying outside in the gardens and generally finding stuff to do around the house. Sadly, this also means that we’ll be seeing more of our neighbours (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). However, it does mean that we’ll be seeing more strange behaviours, whether it be online shopping, just going outside for the sake of it (so that you can speak to whoever walks by) or sending your kids out in the garden with a new annoying ass trampoline.
It can get to a point that because everyone is struggling with the pandemic and finding themselves in a completely new and foreign situation, that you’re surrounded. Unfortunately for us, our extension has wide AF windows which means when the little kids next door jump on the trampoline, they can see everything and so can the other annoying neighbour when he goes to his garage. We’ve tried thin curtains but until we get it all renovated, we’re kind of stuck.
And what do we do when we’re stuck? We Google it!

I know what you’re thinking (or do I?) Google nosey neighbours? After all this time, seeing all those weird google search assumptions that come up, you think this is strange to search? I believe googling is a way for us to feel less alone and to realise there are people out there who also think like us or are in similar situations.
Privacy Films:

These actually work. Who even knew about this stuff? The way it works is you have to measure your windows and then see the various styles that are available. I ended up buying two rolls because I had 4x windows to cover and this for me was more than enough.
- Measure and cut film to fit your window
- Spray the windows with more than enough water (not too much or you’ll end up with loads of bubbles at the bottom)
- Use an old points card or a window ice scraper to then flatten it and get all the bubbles out
et Voilá…PRIVACIDADE
Put in a tall Fence:

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try these out myself because the issue is we don’t have a fence to attach it to (but dw i’m still looking). Either way it provides with a sense of peace when you know that there are solutions out there. No one says that neighbours aren’t annoying and we’re all annoying to somebody but sometimes that peace of mind is necessary.
